The boldness of the design of America 1950s and early 60s cars will always hold a place in my heart, The post-WWII economic boom that fuelled the optimism, consumerism, and a desire for "modern," sleek machines. Designers and engineers pivoting from roles in defence and aviation, pulled designs and elements from their respective industries with curved body lines, flowing fins, symbolic propellers and plane motifs decorating many cars of this period, decorated with opulent chrome and rich luxury interiors these vehicles truly embody the saying “They don’t make them like they used to…”
